Welcome to The House of Worship! Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning after a season away, or searching for a place to belong, we’re so glad you’re here. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions visitors have.
We’re a non-denominational, multicultural, Jesus-following church located at 190 Manhattan Avenue in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Our mission is simple: to Love people, Teach truth, and Build up the body of Christ — one life at a time
It means we’re not tied to a specific denomination (ie: Baptist, Pentacostal, Methodist, etc). We welcome people from all backgrounds and focus on teaching what the Bible says rather than emphasizing denominational traditions. We belong to the Evangelical Free Church of America, an association of 1,600 congregations united around a Statement of Faith.
You can find us at 190 Manhattan Avenue, just up the street from Walmart at the intersection of Northwestern Avenue. We’d love to meet you in person!
Our Sunday worship service begins at 10 am, and we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to find your seat and meet a few friendly faces. You can find out more about all of our worship opportunities HERE.
Our Sunday Service tends to run about two hours; one hour for worship and one hour for the message.
Heaven will be filled with people from every tribe, tongue, and nation — and our desire is that the House of Worship will reflect that. We celebrate diversity and unity in Christ, knowing that we are all part of one family.
Please visit the “About Us” page to learn all about our beliefs, our team, our ministries, and our history. We’d be honored to answer any questions.
Some people dress up, others wear jeans. What matters most is that you’re here — not what you’re wearing.
Our music minister leads us in a blend of contemporary worship, heartfelt gospel, and the ocassional hymn, all focused on lifting up the name of Jesus.
Our pastors teach straight from the Bible in a way that’s clear, relevant, and Spirit-led — helping you apply God’s Word to everyday life.
No — We may acknowledge that we have visitors, but we don’t put people on the spot. However, we’d love to meet you! Be sure to shake the pastor’s hand after the service, and feel free to introduce yourself to others. At the House of Worship, we are family.
We share the bread and wine of communion once a month on the first Sunday. If you are a believer, whether you’re a member of the House of Worship, you are welcome at the table.
Start by showing up, connecting, and opening your heart to God’s Word. We also offer discipleship groups and prayer gatherings designed to help you walk closely with Christ.
